The press briefing on the retrial of Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito in the 2007 murder of Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy, scheduled for this morning at the US Capitol, has been postponed due to the government shutdown.
The briefing, hosted by Senator Maria Cantwell of Washington and featuring Judge Michael Heavey, former FBI Special Agents John Douglas and Steve Moore, and author Mark Olshaker, will be rescheduled.
Judge Heavey will appear on the Piers Morgan program on CNN this evening with Mr. Sollecito and his American attorney, John Q. Kelly.
Raffaele and Amanda each have excellent books out that describe their nightmare. I recommend both of them, not to mention “Law and Disorder”.
It’s too bad it’s been postponed….it will occur even if it has to wait a year to 2014 election (11 months and counting). I hope these innocent people Amanda and Sollecito are well and safe in the meantime.
I’ve heard Amanda has a book out and has been on TV and is safe at home in the USA, I don’t know about Sollecito and that is a concern.
From what I’ve read/ heard/ seen….people….think the ‘re-trial’ is a put up job comic opera political joke.
